21st Century Community Learning Center Program Updates


The Ohio Department of Education is launching a new database for our grantees to submit 21APR data. The system automation allows us to monitor and easily upload Ohio’s federal reporting data. We will open the database following the training to be held on Thursday, May 28th, 2020 from 10 AM – 12 PM.

Before this meeting, please review our website for updates to our SAFE accounts: http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Department-of-Education-OH-ID-Portal-Help. An OH|ID must be in place for your OEDS Administrator to assign you the necessary roles for system(s) access.

On April 29, 2020, the US Department of Education (USDOE) released a new COVID-19 fact sheet that may be of interest to you. Fact Sheet for Repurposing Federal Equipment and Supplies to Combat COVID-19: this document outlines temporary flexibility for repurposing existing equipment and supplies to meet the immediate needs due to the COVID-19 national pandemic. As a reminder, all of the USDOE’s COVID-19-related documents can be found at: www.ed.gov/coronavirus.


Don’t forget, you have on online professional learning community to help you connect with your colleagues and share what you’ve learned about best practices. The site includes professional learning opportunities in areas such as (1) supporting positive relationships with children and youth, (2) providing professional development and technical assistance opportunities, (3) creating partnerships, (4) managing your program, and (5) leading your staff.
